This is my fifth year at RB Stall High School, and my third year as the media specialist for the Learning Inspiration Hub. I graduated from Clemson University in Secondary Education: English. GO TIGERS! I received my M.Ed. from Winthrop University in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Educational Technology. I also received my certificate in Gifted and Talented Education from the College of Charleston. I am currently seeking another Masters in Library and Information Science. After 5 years as an English teacher and 2 years as an instructional coach, I found my calling spending my days surrounded by books, students, and technology.
My husband Jacob and I have a four year old Golden Retriever named Indie. We love sailing, food (both cooking it and trying new restaurants), music, traveling, and basically any and all outdoor activities. I am completely obsessed with reading, and my favorite genre tends to be fantasy. Right now, my favorite books include The Harry Potter Series and Game of Thrones! |
This is Ms. Simmon's thirteenth year at RB Stall High School. She spent seven years as a student concern specialist, and this is her fifth year as media clerk. Ms. Simmons is US Army Retired, where she spent 20 years as a veterinary food inspection specialist. She loves to see the transformation of students from freshman year to senior year as they grow in maturity and find their individual personalities. She believes the teachers have a very invested interest in the students.
Ms. Simmons is a mother of two, her son, Dominic, and her daughter, B'Nai. She loves to watch sports. Her favorites to watch are football, golf, tennis, and gymnastics. Her favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Clemson Tigers! She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. |
